Harrow launches EMR-integrated prescribing platform for eyecare professionals

Optometry 360

Harrow has launched HarrowRx, a prescribing and pharmacy access platform that allows eyecare professionals to prescribe the company’s full portfolio of branded products directly through their existing electronic medical record (EMR) systems, according to a press release.

Powered by Harrow’s preferred pharmacy partner, PhilRx, the platform connects prescribing with product-specific fulfillment channels and patient-support services through a single destination. HarrowRx automatically routes prescriptions to the appropriate fulfillment channel and helps eligible patients access available support programs.

The company said the platform is designed to simplify prescribing workflows by reducing the need for practices to navigate multiple specialty pharmacies, fulfillment channels, and patient savings programs. Harrow believes HarrowRx is the first platform of its kind developed by a US ophthalmic pharmaceutical company.
