Mark L. Dlugoss

Mark L. Dlugoss has over 50 years of editorial experience, working in the business-to-business media and newspapers.

Mark served as editor-in-chief of Ophthalmology Times for 22 years. During his tenure as editor-in-chief, Ophthalmology Times won six Jesse H. Neals Awards, the Pulitzer Prize of business-to-business journalism, and was a finalist five other times.

Under his leadership, Ophthalmology Times launched Ophthalmology Times Europe and Ophthalmology Times Latin America, and revived Optometry Times. As the digital era emerged, Ophthalmology Times became a leader in developing digital media platforms for the ophthalmic market under his direction.

Prior to his role at Ophthalmology Times, Mark served as editor of several medical brands in the specialties of dermatology, urology, and audiology. His magazine experience included as managing editor and editor on foodservice and contractor publications. He also has 10 years of newspaper experience, working as a Sunday editor, wire editor, business editor, editorial page editor, copy editor, and a writer.
