Lens wearers report greater comfort with new daily disposable option

AcuVue Oasys Max 1-Day contact lens provides significantly superior comfort compared to Dailies Total1 across several key measures, according to a study.

This randomized, controlled study included 342 myopic patients between the ages of 18 and 39 years. Patients wore either AcuVue Oasys Max 1-Day (senofilcon A) or an established lens, Dailies Total1 (delefilcon A) for 2 weeks before completing a detailed comfort questionnaire. The test lens significantly outperformed the control on all 4 comfort measures: end-of-day comfort, all-day comfort, reduced digital eye fatigue, and night-driving visual comfort. Odds ratios for favorable responses ranged from 1.77 for night-driving comfort to 2.17 for all-day comfort.
