Sight For Kids program reaches 50 million children
Sight For Kids program, co-founded by Johnson & Johnson and Lions Clubs International Foundation, has provided essential eye health services to over 50 million children worldwide, according to a press release.
This initiative not only addresses the critical need for vision care among underserved communities but also highlights the collaborative efforts to expand access to eye screenings, treatments, and eyeglasses, thereby improving educational outcomes and overall quality of life for children globally.
The announcement was made at the 106th annual Lions International Convention in Melbourne, Australia, highlighting the program’s significant impact on global health. Johnson & Johnson’s Sight For Kids initiative, co-founded with LCIF in 2002, has grown into the largest-known school-based eye health program.
